In late 2020, ELK Studios came out with a fresh slot called Nitropolis. This game, which is still quite popular, introduces a wild storyline where four animal gangs battle over nitro car fuel.
ELK has wasted little time in rolling out a sequel. Nitropolis 2 builds on its predecessor by introducing Sergeant Nitro Wolf, who’s determined to stop the gangs and clean up the city.

Gameplay and Atmosphere
This game features 6 reels and 4,096 ways by default. You can increase the amount of ways, though, through Nitro Reels (covered later).

Winning combinations happen when 3+ matching symbols land in adjacent reels. Each win needs to begin in the first reel and move left to right.
Regarding the atmosphere, the sequel takes place in a futuristic city that’s run by anthropomorphic animals.
The right side of the screen shows various metal bridges and buildings in the city. The left side shows a screen with the menacing Sergeant Nitro Wolf on it.
ELK Studios has done a nice job of creating an atmosphere that remains true to the original game while also changing just enough.
Nitropolis 2 Max Win, Payouts and Symbols
Much like the first slot, Nitropolis 2’s symbols carry an anarchist feel to them. Royals, which have a sloppy paint look to them, serve as the low-paying symbols.
Emblems for the various gangs, including the Dirty Dawgs, Gritty Kitties, and Pug Thugs, are the medium pays. Meanwhile, the gang leaders act as the highest-paying icons.

Nitropolis 2 is just as good as its predecessor and justifies a sequel. It furthers the story, delivers new features, and offers a slightly different setting—all while remaining true to what made the first slot a hit.
The Nitro Boosters help advance the series in terms of features as well. They offer everything from free respins to extra symbols in the Nitro Reels.
The win potential is one area that we think ELK Studios could’ve upgraded. ELK doubled the amount of ways to 191.1 million, yet trotted out the same 10,000x maximum payout. Nevertheless, 10,000x is still a worthy top prize when compared to the industry average.
